We were thrilled to have had the opportunity to bring our fantastic Bloom event back to Duluth for the third year! A huge thank you to our title sponsors, Clyde Iron Works for hosting this event, and St. Luke’s for supporting us as always!

We partnered with City Moms Blog Network and 50 of our other sister sites to bring this event to Duluth with an estimated attendance of over 6,000+ moms across the US!

Fostering Community:: 3rd Annual Bloom

Things that we can take for granted like socks, underwear, and even cleaning supplies are really hard to come by for women who are restarting their life after escaping domestic abuse. Bloom guests were encouraged to bring donations for Safe Haven right here in Duluth. A Brand New Mother’s Day event was hosted with local moms, and Safe Haven was able to send the women home with some great essentials to help with the transition out of the shelters and into their new homes. Thank you for your generous donations!

Cravings Bar Sponsors :: 3rd Annual Bloom

Julie, the Two Harbors Baker, showed off her gorgeous and tasty treats for all of the Bloom attendees. The shortbread sugar cookies were to die for; they melted in your mouth.

After tallying results from one of our daily Mom Poll questions, Duluth Moms Blog was able to provide a variety of munchies to help satisfy all cravings. We were shocked to see how fast the Goldfish were gobbled up. Check out our weekday Mom Polls on the Duluth Moms Blog Facebook page.

Panel Speakers :: 3rd Annual Bloom

Duluth moms had the opportunity to ask their questions concerning pediatric dentistry, pregnancy, breastfeeding, pediatrics etc. before Bloom. Our panel of health experts each took turns answering the questions during the panel discussion at Bloom. We were thrilled that even new dads jumped in on the conversations around mental health, delivery, and breastfeeding support! Thank you to our panelists from St. Luke’s and Eversmiles

She attained her Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist designation for the spine and extremities through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine in 2013 and 2014. She specializes in treating men and women with pelvic floor dysfunctions.

Dr. Robinson is excited to become more active in the Twin Ports community.

Exclusive Experiences :: 3rd Annual Bloom

Bloom Exclusive Merchandise

Duluth Screen Printing was back once again making all that highly-sought after Duluth Moms Blog merchandise in-person! We apologize for any disappointment as guests learned that the sea foam-colored apparel was on back-order, but we hope to offer that design in the near future.

“Tell Her” – An interactive experience to share encouragement and document women lifting each other up.

Michael Rai was at Bloom leading a one-of-a-kind activity for moms! She brought her beautifully-styled backdrop with help from Arrowleaf and Arnica

The activity featured a “Take-a-note, leave-a-note” format where women wrote a note sharing some encouragement, advice, or truth that they have learned about life as a woman, pregnancy, birth, or postpartum. Guests were encouraged to think of the kind words someone shared with them in times of hardship, the bit of advice that got them through the long labor or sleepless nights or that hard hitting or hilarious truth that they still hold on to. #TellHer19

Then, the women chose a note to read, they made their way to the stool and backdrop, and took a moment to read their note and soak in the moment while Michaela captured the joy of sharing life experience with the women surrounding them.

These candid photos will be shared on the Bloom event page and on the Duluth Mom’s Blog as a blog post, soon!

Andrea Jang
A lake girl at heart, Andrea is thrilled to be a Duluthian! She lives in the Hillside with her husband, daughter (plus two angel babies that are with them in spirit), and two rescue pups. As a bi-racial and multicultural family, they have hopes and dreams of visiting her husband’s family in South Korea someday soon. Tiny joys that make her heart happy include: doodling, searching for sea glass, coffee with friends, fiber art, plants, a good vintage thrift find, music and great food & drinks. She also finds purpose in serving on the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Justice (DEIJ) committee at her daughter’s school, and also on City Mom Collective’s Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) committee. You will find her building community, connections and friendships in the northland as the owner of Duluth Mom. She invites you to visit her on Instagram or on LinkedIn.
