Young Athletes Foundation
The Young Athletes Foundation (YAF) was developed by Grandma’s Marathon in 1990 to assist with the promotion and development of healthy and active lifestyles for area youth. The goal is to support young athletes and locally under-represented youth sports programs. Through this charitable arm of Grandma’s Marathon, the YAF helps community members and businesses that inspire kids to be healthy. Wednesday Night at the Races series: These popular, FREE races for children ages 14 and under are held for six consecutive Wednesdays in July & August. Dates include: July 25, August 1, August 8, August 15, August 22, and the year end picnic on August 29. The YAF is able to provide support to area youth through benefit races, such as the Park Point 5-Miler that will be on Thursday, July 19, 2018. There will be exclusive Kids Only Races FREE to ages 14 and under.
