Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of working with our local friends at both St. Luke’s and the Clyde Iron Works to produce the much anticipated Duluth BLOOM event: A Night for New and Expecting Moms, and it has been our absolute pleasure.
Several of our own writers and team members have had experiences within St. Luke’s walls (everything from delivering bundles of joy in their state-of-the-art birthing center, to surgery, and urgent care visits), and we are always delighted when our readers share their own St. Luke’s stories with us.
We were thrilled that Clyde Iron Works invited us back and helped us host another event in the most stunning and spacious event space. Their delish food, the attention to detail, the hip spaces… there is no other place in the Northland like the Clyde; they stand out as the place to host events.
Put simply, our events wouldn’t be possible without the sponsorship of St. Lukes and Clyde Iron Works. I can confidently speak for our entire team and over 250 beautiful moms in attendance at our BLOOM event when I say “THANK YOU!”
SECOND ANNUAL BLOOM EVENT RECAP
Our Bloom event was held last week on Thursday, May 3rd and was a BLAST to say the least! Picture it: over two hundred forty-five women, forty VIP attendees, thirty-plus vendors and most of them new and expecting moms. It was so much fun watching everyone connect and enjoy themselves. We had a great time socializing, listening to the St. Luke’s panel talk, indulging in ice cream, and seeing the wide variety of goods and services our vendors brought to the event. Thank you to every mama who came out to support local businesses, and thank you to our local businesses for coming out to support moms. We appreciate all of you!
GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY
We care deeply about our community and admire the businesses who make a difference here in the Northland. Each time we put on a Duluth Moms Blog event, we partner with a local organization to donate a portion of our ticket sales in support of their mission. Part of the Bloom proceeds will be supporting A Brand New Mother’s Day: an event brought to fruition through the partnership between Mad Chicken Studio and Northland Special Events. A Brand New Mother’s Day will allow the women and children from Safe Haven Shelter & Resource Center and CASDA to relax, be pampered, laugh, and celebrate a fresh start. New family photos and a family dinner will cap off the event and a Mother’s Day full of joy for all.

We have been honored to partner with Northland Special Events for the past several DMB events and love everything Mariah creates for us. NSE encompasses three amazing businesses under one roof, including Duluth Balloon Company and Fluertation. They provided the show-stopping balloons, special signage, floral centerpieces, photo wall, and all the finishing touches to add class and color to our event. Mariah and her team always create a beautiful finished product for us and we are so lucky to work with them!

We’re glad you all came hungry because the treats were delicious, weren’t they? Our VIP guests were treated with hors d’oeuvres prepared by Clyde Iron Works and provided by Krenzen, cookies from Snazzy Cakes, cupcakes from Super One Foods, and a drink from Clyde Iron Works.
All attendees received cake from Super One Foods along with a Bridgeman’s delish “make your own sundae” bar which included strawberry, peppermint bon bon, cookies and cream, and raspberry fudge torte ice creams! A special thank you to our host, Clyde Iron Works, for providing one mock-tail or cocktail for each attendee, too!
