Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes! Meet the new owner of Duluth Moms Blog

A note from the founder:

Earlier this year I made a decision to simplify my life. The nudging came right after the New Year when I was starting to feel overwhelmed by trying to juggle all the things. I was in the thick of planning an event for the blog, our oldest was getting married, and I was designing three homes for my other job – my design business.

While I tend to think I can do it all, this spring proved to me that it was time to scale back before I ran myself completely ragged and put my focus back on my family, my health, and my design company. It just made sense that now was the time for me to step aside and let someone take over ownership of Duluth Moms Blog.

To say I am sad to let this business go is the understatement of the year. This was not just another “job” for me.  It was a place where I made so many amazing connections. Endless stories of moms who connected with each other through our Duluth Moms Blog Community and Conversations group, our highly anticipated events and through the incredible, brave, and sometimes funny stories we shared. We laughed, we cried, and encouraged each other through this journey called motherhood.  I can say with confidence that I’ve made life-long friends with both team members and local business partnerships made here on this platform.

Some of the stories I’ve listened to people share with me over the last two years made me realize that this is more than just a blog. It’s a place of connection. It’s a place of encouragement just when you need it, and it’s a place for transplants to get connected- both to local businesses and their neighbors.

I can’t tell you how thankful I am to have been on this journey to motherhood with you all. Duluth is my home, and the people here have won my heart. Our family has put down roots here, and I am excited to pass the torch to a new owner so all women can continue to benefit from connecting with friends – both old and new.

Meet Andrea:

So without further ado, I introduce you to the new owner of Duluth Moms Blog… Mrs. Andrea Jang!  Andrea has been a writer on our team since early February, 2018 and has been very active in our community. I first got to know Andrea through her willingness to volunteer at our events, and her actively seeking out new friendships at our in person meet-ups. She is eager and excited to be able to meet each and every one of you and has SO MANY fresh and amazing ideas to share with you all.  Andrea and her husband Yu, their two year old daughter Charlee, and their chihuahua rescue named Tink are proud to call Duluth home. Her passions include: her dear friends, feel good music, great food, philanthropy, volunteerism, hunger relief, hospitality, event planning and most importantly…coffee!

Let’s all give Andrea a HUGE Minnesota nice welcome. I am so excited to see where she takes it, and am looking forward to cheering her on and supporting her from the sidelines.
