Kristina is a native Duluthian and mom to twins who are five years old. While in graduate school in Boston she met her husband who is originally from Ireland. In 2018 they made a dramatic life change, sold all of their belongings minus the items that fit into 6 suitcases and 4 backpacks, and moved to Galway, Ireland.
